About Munnar:
Originally built as a comfort station among the hills by the British Planters the Munnar town is located about 5200 ft. above sea level in God’s Own Country, Kerala. It is a land with rolling hills, carpeted with green tea, tropical forest and has a treasure of plants and wildlife that do not exist anywhere else on the planet.
At Munnar, you have a list of interesting locations where you would always feel to make a re-visit as they are enchanting and incredibly attractive.
A land filled with thick sandalwood forest, Maravoor is a place not to be missed. Moving towards the rocky mountain you can see the rare Neelakurinji (strobilatanthes) flowers.
The Sita Devi Lake, the Mattupetty Lake and the Kundala Lake are memorable picnic spots, renowned for scenic beauty.

Thekkady & Idukki
This beautiful High range district of Kerala is geographically known for its Mountainous Hills and Dense Forests. For the people of Kerala, Idukki is always associated with Power Generation. About 66% of the State's Power needs come from the Hydroelectric Power Projects in Idukki. Idukki accounts for 12.9 percent of the area of Kerala and only 3.7 percent of the population of Kerala. About 50% of its area is Reserved Forests.
Thekkady (Idukki District) is the location of the Periyar National Park, which is an important tourist attraction in Kerala state, India, close to the Kerala -Tamil Nadu border town Kumily, located about 257 km (160 miles) from Trivandrum. The sanctuary is famous for its dense evergreen, semi evergreen, moist deciduous forests and savannah grass lands. It is home to herds of elephants, Sambhar, tigers, gaur, lion-tailed macaques and Nilgiri Langurs.
